How should Solstice do more to promote these events? It was listed in the Independent calendar and the price was very affordable compared with most Halloween events. What other promotion do you recommend? Also, do you have suggestions for other events Solstice should do?

I would like to suggest that Summer Solstice do a better job of promoting their events! Couple years ago we attended a woefully under-attended Holiday party - a fundraier, i think we were all asked to dress as gypsies. Turnout was pathetic! I felt awful for the charming man who had opened up his home for the event. Several times Edhat has photos of one of their events - i always wonder whete the publicity was beforehand. Notice it's the same few people always in Bernstein's shots - am sure it's 'cos there's hatdly anyone there! When I last checked Solstice was hurting for money and pays a year-round executive director! Surely they can expect the ED to promote these events seeing as this is a paid position and what else ate they doong at SUMMER solstice but raising money for the parade? Miss the old Solatice where their events were always a blast and we looked forward to being involved every year...
