a good idea -- however, as power is out in all or most areas due to the storm, no one will get this message for days!

The sign in your photo is definitely iconic but -- uhhhggh... the storm was EPIC AND frightening - 60-70mph sustained high winds blowing onshore for DAYS (as witnessed first-hand while on a business visit). High winds and surf would have decimated the Blue Skies community including Bing's lovely sign- Sandy left behind a path of terror up and down the eastern seaboard. But at least the southeast coast, after several days of Sandy's wrath, are enjoying chilly, but bright Blue Skies today!!---Your photo message was well timed! Thanks!

I live near this iconic neon sign. It was photographed A LOT before they built the freeway sound wall....now it's tough to get a good shot of it, but you did a great job! Thanks, I think I might have to go see if I can shoot a good image of it....

Our sign has been up since 1959. We prefer to call it a manufactured housing community, not a trailer park. The park was financed by Bing Crosby, and named after his movie Blue Skies, and was the companion park to the one he built in 1955 in Rancho Mirage.

If you were starving, would a pic of a cheese-burger satisfy?..If your arm fell off,how bout a photo of a Dr.? Do you realize those people are actually concerned for their very lives?...Blood, Pain, Terror, Misery,Loss, Devistation...That`s what`s on the minds of the East-Coast....so I send no picture, but I look to my "God" & ask for your safety.

Thanks for the message! It worked. I love seeing one of my favorite landmarks against a clear sky--I swear I can see stars! I live in the middle of Pennsylvania and we have had two days of gloom and rain. Today we have high winds but nothing like what is happening on the East Coast! But they tell us we will be in for a big windstorm overnight tonight...by then I probably won't have electricity to be reading Edhat so I'm glad I saw this today :-)
