I am grateful for the comments on my hummie photo. My canon t2i was pushed to the max to get a keeper of those lightning fast moving targets that don't wait around to have their picture taken. As to the wing color, the camera captured everything that was there. We have planted lots of Salvia whose purple color they like. I used a 60mm 2.8 macro lens iOS 400 1/4000 at f 4.5 (cropped) for this shot. I have tried 1/3000 at 5.4, but cannot stop the wings. It doesn't look real, it is so detailed. But how is it the wing looks red? Light refraction? Filter?
