I used to have biker neighbors across the street in Santa Cruz, a family with a cute baby. Dad had the requisite long beard and the coolest Harley ever. They'd hang out in the front yard with their friends on weekends, with all their great bikes parked in a row on the street. They were good, friendly neighbors, who never fired up the bikes in the middle of the night or early morning.

Bikers are some of the nicest, most generous caring people you will ever meet. I wouldn't mind them having a hang out in that area. Much better than some of the clubs up the street! Would be cool.

That's all we need: a place for Dr. Laura and other Rubbies to hang out at. There goes the neighborhood.

Good question, Chili. Haven't seen one in town since ... seeing them at Freeman's. Re: addressing the original question and deletions, I did research because I too assumed from the post that Sharkeez had closed, not that I've ever been there, and I wanted to find out what the new place is. Then got into reading sbdining.com. I hope Los Agaves expands into the place on De la Vina! (what used to be Jack's and Cuzcatlan before that).

720: Sharkeez just moved up the block & across the street. 682: The bikers in this town (mostly) aren't bad guys, wannabe or otherwise. They ride every year in the Toys For Tots Motorcycle Ride around Christmastime.

biker-looking bar is somewhat stereotypical... but since there aren't any 'real' bikers in this town, I guess it doesn't matter.

A biker bar on lower State? Cool. Hasn't been a good biker bar in town since Freeman's changed hands. But there is no parking on the street so the Harleys out front were probably decor.
