saw a coast guard cutter blaze out of the harbor under full steam and head west out of the channel a few months back. it was one of the most impressive things i've ever seen in my life, the amount of water it disturbed made the channel look like a bath tub. i'm guessing it was a 400ft+ boat doing over 25 knots, a spectacle to say the least!
