I heard Mayor Schnieder is an an Aunt to a face tatoo'ed gang member so she tries to protect them. Cam Sanchez was told by the Mayor to leave gang members with face tatoos alone. CJ Ward is actually investigating this story for KEYT.

Every morning I walk along state street to work - see all of the regular bums - today police were actually rousting a few of them that were sleeping on the benches

excuse me but, all the cother cities you think have higher crime than Santa Barabara are have much lower crime rates than the south county.Get your facts straight.

There was also a late night fight on Punta Gorda last night one possibly with a knife. I don't know how it turned out I fell asleep..

REALLY!!!! Cam Sanchez and Helene Schnieder wake up once and for all REALIZE this problem is not going away!!! Forget the tourisim money.. Start making the folks of Santa Barbara feel like they have a safe town to live in. Santa Barbara/Goleta is becoming more and more like Lompoc, Santa Maria and Oxnard... Pretty soon it will not only be the folks in the Cottage Hospital neighborhood complaining about helicoptors.. Also there was a fight downtown in a commuter parking lot between teen aged males someone said they were Westsiders.

Earlier a man who was refusing to leave the Rescue Mission became 415 with staff members possibly assaulting them police responded and detained the subject. When they ran his name he had numerous warrents and violations of probation, Good Grab SBPD!
