I agree. Thank you for your work, and expertise, is relocating this hive to a safe place. We must all work to keep our local bee populations healthy, and the donation was icing on the cake! Bravo to all involved!

Glad you saved this hive! A good reason for an Edhat donation too.

This story made my day. Always happy when little critters are kept safe and allowed to do their thing. Many thanks, SBBA.

111P: Having been skeptical, if not scornful of the edhat "community", being one of the early participants here and saddened by the changes, I do agree. Well done and thank you to all: the SBBA is a wonderful community resource made available by another invaluable community resource, edhat.

This made my day - we all need those bees!! Thanks for working so hard to do this!! This came right after I freaked out when suddenly there were NO bees on my false heather bushes that are always loaded with them! I had figured out that I had Ecola out for an annual inspection, and they had to treat an area in the attic that had termites...somehow I think the bees must hve sensed fumes coming out the vent or something and stayed away...at least I'm hoping they haven't died...and that the hive is alive and well and just gone elsewhere for the time being.

I would have left the bees in the tail light. It would be so cool to drive around town with a swarm of bees following you!

Thanks again to the owners of the car, neighbor, friend or whoever did the right thing. Ecology majors? Entomologists? :-) Wonder how SBBA got contacted. Animal control could've referred them, the car owner or a neighbor could've known; so many possibilities. Yay for bee rescue! And the increasing visibility of SBBA.
