By 5pm it was cleaned and looking like a framed shell. I was shocked, I remember seeing spike&ikes sick and twisted animation film festival there. Hope it gets revived

So sad! - This beautiful beautiful building..... Why did it happen? They should have left it alone..... (sigh)

But that aside. This is a great shot.

The wall was torn down to allow construction of a "fly tower" for the theater that will be housed in the building. The beautiful building is being preserved, and almost all of the changes will be interior. And yes, it will be available for films and many other cultural events held by local arts organizations.

I stood in the parking lot and watched that come down. That big orange tube thingy pounded the building a few times, poking holes in the wall. Then it reached up to the roof and pulled down. At first, only the roof flashing pulled off. A few more tugs, and the whole side came down. I like how you can see that it used to be (and now is once more) two buildings.

It's called progress 880, the future. The facade on Victoria remains the same.

The real tragedy here is that Ensemble felt they had to trash Unite Shoppe, a great nonprofit organization, so they could get control of the building for themselves.
