It’s sad that the maximum sentence is 10 years and 8 months…when this little girl will have to serve a life sentence of emotional pain. I have a little girl and if someone did anything to her you better be sure he will have more than 10 years and 8 months coming to him! Let the boys have at him!

We all owe a huge debt of gratitude to the victim and her family for reporting this crime, for believing their daughter when she told them, for following through with the trial despite the emotional toll it must have taken, and now publically facing her attacker and addressing the court to ensure the maximum sentence. This took a tremendous amount of strength and courage, and will hopefully encourage other victims to do the same.

How do you not get the death penalty for a crime like this? Poor kid, she turns 14 when he gets out for the opportunity to do it to her again. I love my country but, shame on us. Hopefully a nice Rapist hating inmate will take care of this guy.

Good call, didn't see that. 10 years still isn't enough.

There are several victims of this horrible man. Most in their late 30s and 40 now so the statute of limitations prevails. He needs to be put away in the general population where he will have no protection just like the children he left in his sick wake. God only knows how many more there are...

Agree with other posters about putting this perv in the general popluation; child molesters aren't well thought of in prison. He'll get the same treatment he gave. One can only hope many times over. We only know about some of the US victims; he probably left many more in Guatemala.
