Good work!!! How terrifying that must have been for her loved ones. So very happy to hear she was found and returned home.

Sounds like the Project Lifesaver transmitting device did a whole lot of nothing. Great work SAR!

DILLYDALLY - I got just the opposite impression from the article - that she was found because of the device.

How many missing persons have been found that fast?

":Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Mark Williams said the woman was a member of Project Lifesaver.

Participants – with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or other memory and judgment disorders – have wristbands that transmit signals to specific receivers and directional antennas, so people can be tracked and found quickly if they ever wander off. The Search and Rescue team is deployed in these cases to help locate the missing person, according to the Sheriff’s Department."

Dear SBSO public relations dude or dudette, it's Leadbetter, with an 'A', not Ledbetter.

What kind of CAREGIVER did she have? One that wasn't drug tested? Properly screened or TRAINED??? Be careful to really shop around for the best place for Caregivers. I know of one in town that helps seniors that does not drug test because it costs too much and it cuts into their profits. Try Senior Planning or Visiting Nurses. They have a good reputation.
