I don't get it! This occurred in I.V., next to the UCSB campus, which I always understood, is served by the Santa Barbara Sheriff''s Department. WHY is the S.L.O. Sheriff's Department responding to a reported gun shot in Isla Vista?

thanks for posting this, i got the reverse 911 text from university emergency services about the shots fired. also got two texts the morning of the 13th stating there was a suspect with a gun and that the suspect was detained. anyone have details on the other gunman?
