Stinkin' corporatist pig. WHEN will you go away? It is yucky, smelly, unproductive and plain gross... Deal with life outside your plastic bubble for a change. As said by attendees and volunteers alike, above, it was the show of the year! Must be something to it! Grate photos! We are everywhere.

Fantastic concert, outstanding music. 3 generations of my family were there. A few weeks ago I went to Bonnie Raitt w/a friend who won tickets. The audience sat through the whole thing, if anyone had gotten up to dance they'd have been yelled down for blocking the view. With Furthur, on the 1st downbeat the whole crowd stood and rocked out for the duration. We loved being back with the people who "get it"; like going back to the 60s.

All the comments re: spelling should be deleted, as they are in all other threads. It shouldn't matter that it is a proper noun.

791p, Dudesses? Interesting. I've always said dudettes. As in "Dudes and dudettes". Of course we all know that dude is a derogatory term for an inept cowboy, right?

Did anybody who attended detect the odor of "burnt rope" during the concert? :-) That's what they called IT when I was in high school back in the 60's. I know, I know, far out & solid, dudes & dudesses.

I agree about how kind the crowd was. Some of the most considerate and thankful people I have met. It was the first time all season I had people thank me for volunteering and it made me feel great! Wonderful show as well and i learned a lot of new dance moves :P

Though Phil Lesh is over 70, he rocks like no other bass player I know. The band was as good, if not better, than I've ever heard them. And the crowd, whatever you may think of their attire, were more respectful than any Bowl audience I've seen - at least those around me in GA on the floor. They actually listened to the music instead of yelling over the music. Nice change.

Once again, 329687, the name of the band is FURTHUR, not Further. There is another band named "Further" that has no relation to this one.

I was in San Francisco this weekend at the Hardly Strictly Blue Festival ... looks like a similar crowd! (Great music festival, by the way.)

That first photo could be State Street on any given day.

Duuuude! That reminds me of the '88 summer tour when I lost my shoes in Oregon and didn't get another pair until Shoreline! Awesome!
