I don't know where KEYT gets its news but the UCSB Alert system also sent out an alert about a fight in IV that sent 2 people to the hospital for stab wounds and several more for assualt injuries as a result of the fight. These alerts rarely make it onto Edhat. And apparently KEYT doesn't follow up on all of them.

I sleep with the scanner on and I wrote about this on my scanner reports..Heard one where 2 guys were trying to get another guy out of his car early Sunday morning in IV..I have been hearing from residents that things are quite wild there..Don't always get it straight from the cops because many times they say 415 Fight but not 245 with a knife or a gun..
