Time to clean out these "encampments". They're illegal and now threatening the community with multiple fires over this past summer.

Ten years ago they lived below KEYT on the Mesa. Five years ago they lived around the Milpas onramp, now they are further south. Yes, they will relocate, but not out of town.

Since there are limited numbers of police (and sheriffs - this seemed as though it was in the County), perhaps there can be volunteer patrols, spotting cooking fires and reporting immediately to the police? It is impossible to clear out all the "encampments" and expect them to stay cleared.
