I wish the LEED extended to layout of communities as we go into the future . Sustainability I would hope also extends to aesthetics otherwise you could have an LEED building but it could look awful and you could have LEED sprawl . Similar to how the corner of Storke and Hollister looks now with the strip mall looking Bank of Montecito and "how did that ever get passed through" Vitamin Shop next to the the large block of a building . Goleta Council please be careful with your sustainable progress . Responsibility/ Susatinability is not just a buzz word .

Serious cognitive disconnect: this is the same city that promotes LEEDS for government buildings but promotes/approves the development that will heavily worsen traffic and the environment for all visiting that already often congested Costco/Home Depot area!

There is a green building component for commercial buildings that will be back before the Council on October 16. I would encourage you to read the staff report on that item (which should be posted online on Oct. 18) and provide the Council with your feedback as well.
