246P, google "Santa Barbara County Statistical Profile" - the County put out just about any statistic you could be wondering about in this document. Could be anything...the median age in SB is rising, so maybe more people are commuting into town. SB prices continue to deviate from CA averages more and more every year, that could make people want to commute. Wait until you see all the stats in there...it's overwhelming. Anyone know of a web page that tracks local/county population growth stats? Seems like there are more cars on the road at 5:45am there has ever been in past years. I've been going to work at that time for nearly 10 years now and I have not seen traffic this heavy at that time in all that time.
