They have CSI respond for just about everything nowadays..I think it's more to cover their ars, than anything..

@880 - You should also avoid lane splitting at excessive speeds, heavy accelceration on city streets and residential areas. These are common habits I see motorcyclists do frequently.

I agree totally with 874. As a motorcycle rider for over 45 years, it is riding skills and situational awarness that will keep you safe.

As a motorcycle rider you have to be extremely defensive 'coz drivers (cagers) certainly aren't. Loud pipes don't save lives but noticing the driver who's not paying attention will.

I had a motorcycle but I was so paranoid about having to watch out for cars doing erratic things when I rode it that I finally sold it. Took all the joy out of riding it.

It looked very bad when I drove by. There are emergency vehicles all over the intersection.
