@177 the Chief is in DENIAL just because we are in SB they do not want to file a gang injunction becasue it will scare the tourist.. I have a better idea., instead of Compton, let them live with the Chief and the Mayor..

I don't blame anyone..Every once in a while the cheif will say the gangs are in remission therefore I call them UNgangs.. Your laying some trip on me because I'm voicing my opinion which I'm entitled to hahaha.

How do you know or not know that the chief thinks there are no gang members? The chief is doing a great job working against gangs. Sb has the gtf ( gang task force) more officers patrolling schools and areas where gang members associate an loiter. This problem never goes away, just like the homeless. Everyone always want to blame one person. It the chiefs fault or it's mayor schneiders fault, Obama fault, etc etc.. These people are is high positions for a reason and they earned it. Regardless if you like them or not , society is still going to have issues, crimes , gangs and so forth.

No not near any housing buildings this is closer to the trailer parks but besides being an escape route I don't think the trailer parks had anything to do with it either. It's East Side territory always has been as long as I have been around. I heard the 1200 Block of Liberty mentioned as a possible address for the UNgang member on the run. UNgangmembers is the way I choose to label gangmembers since the cheif of police is in denial of gangs in Santa Barbara.

Thanks for this report. Sounds like it's in the area of the Housing Authority building and also where others are planned. Do they, Rob Pearson-the City, have any continuing oversight of what they build: obviously residents are not necessarily related to gang members but anyone living in that area south of Carpinteria is at risk. (As for being at risk: those of us living in that general area are also; and, often there being police car lights at night, city taxpayers are also since there are only so many police cars, so many on duty.) What is "Ungangmembers" in "detained by the cars UNgangmembers" in the 6th down.
