Will at least the Edhat commenters know you don't wait a week to look for evidence...I thought it was weird that someone said it looked like he was wearing a dress..Then there was talk of all the camps there on the beach but no one was around. KEYT really did it for me when they mentioned allot of blood and an eye injury. It shocked me that they released so much info.

I'm sure that EdHat commenters know more about forensics than the police.

Yeah, WHY are the police doing this a whole week after the body was found? Wouldn't logic dictate that they cordone off the area and do it immediately upon the discovery of the body? The ocean changes rapidly with tides, winds, sun... this is ridiculous. 105P, your comment is awesome.

With the Cold Springs bridge so much more difficult to jump off, people will go to the cliffs or step in front of trains.

Is it me or has there been an unusual body count on the beaches this year? What is that all about? And did any of us really believe that white washed account that they gave us to begin with? Here on Edhat it was first reported as a woman in her 30's, then the story changed and evolved from there. Condolences to his family and friends and may they have peace soon.

Very odd. Guy falls (jumps) of cliff. Ends up about 60 ft from base of cliff. More than a person can jump. And he still has one of his flip flops on. A fall off a cliff and still wearing a flip flop? Now that's odd. This is interesting.

I thought there might be more to the story, just from googling the name. He may have been involved in a winery, as was asserted here. He may also have been involved in a financial business. Sorry. I guess I'm not supposed to speculate, but this is a different thread than the event/death notice.

They needed the autopsy to tell them it was more involved? The guy was dead on the beach. Wouldn't SOP be to perform an investigation and do a thorough search before all of the evidence is washed away?

You mean the police didn't comb through the area last week with metal detectors? One would think that this would be routine procedure? I guess not.
