I have a friend who did maintenance on another yacht this family owned, down in Ventura. Legend is that in the 70's many of the Firestone heirs were developing pretty nasty substance abuse problems. So they got the yacht, all the druggie teens and young adults and hired a bunch of sailor/substance abuse counselors and off they went around the world, a deluxe outward bound type experience....not all rich people do ridiculous things with their money.
Pretty boat, and you know that "hours spent sailing are not deducted from your life"

One of the most amazing and beautiful sailing yachts in the world. A true masterpiece. I find it incredible how many people get sick with envy when they see a family with money. You folks should research the family and the yacht. They did an amazing thing with building that boat and sailing the world with their kids, their families and their great fortune... Read up a little, you'll be impressed. And if not, then you're just miserable and jaded.

Is this not is the same people behind the Glendon half-way house foisted on San Roque residents? They should open their yacht to these half-way folks instead of demanding someone else's neighborhood accept the burden of their trendy social experimenting.

I was on it for a party a couple of years ago.
It is owned by SB psychologist and artist Robert Firestone - no relation to Brooks Firestone and clan - and is registered in the Cayman Islands.
The Italian builder is Perini Navi and its about 170 ft. long.
The Ferrari of the nautical set, without a doubt....
