I never knew...till I read it on EdHat, that lobsters molt their shells!! Then I looked up a video of it online and sure enough!!! it's true. Thanks EdHat for increasing my wealth of knowledge a wee bit more :)

It's not the remains of a lobster, it's just a molt. Crustaceans grow by shedding their old exoskeletons. It's just a sign that the lobsters are healthy and growing.
