SICK! Turn this perp out into the general population in jail, and if this does not kill him, turn him out again, and again, and again...until it does.

What a sicko. And at the same time, what kind of mother lets a man she's only been dating for two weeks move in with her and her two underage daughters? The guy was a pedophile and sex offender. The mother deserves some blame for recklessly putting her children in such danger.

There is a whole lot that can be said for the Mothers responsibility in general, however, I pray that she isn't so trusting in the future and holds her childrens safety above all. This man is sick, and yet he is the one who told. He was arrested, and is exactly where he needs to be. I pray this child gets the help needed to work thru this, and past it. I pray for justice for this little one. People tend to think these things won't happen to them, or their children. This is a reminder that we need to be careful, and aware of the world around us.

An idiot mother! This is not uncommon, there is more of this that goes on than anyone knows.

Roger, 143 here. I realize obviously that she didn't know he was a sex offender, but to let somebody live with her young children after two weeks of dating, she should have been more cautious. ANYONE out there can be a creep; she should have protected her daughters by getting to know him before letting him into their home and lives. Two weeks is just too soon for that kind of trust. And yeah -- neck tattoo? Negligent mother plus pedophile boyfriend equals trouble for the poor innocent kids involved.

Wonder if his name shows up on the Megans Law sex offenders website? But, even if his name is there, it might have been difficult to find it, if he didnt have a perm residence

I just checked the State and National sex offender registry and he does not show up on either list.

Your right@76..But I'll tell you my mom was with a guy for many years there were no signs, years later it was found out he molested another family member. I would have killed him but the victim made me promice her I wouldn't.

Mothers and fathers need to protect their children from strangers. An easy way to do this is to run a background check....before a stranger is allowed to meet the children and be in the home as a "boyfriend or girlfriend". In this case, the mother failed miserably.

Tracy~ it would be nice if we could run background checks on every person we come in contact with, but that would be almost impossible. And some things wouldnt show up on a background check anyways.

Heinous is the only word to describe We have the Internet, Megan's Law, pubic and media galore to constantly remind us of the dangers that lurk and some how we think this ever present cloak of knowledge and awareness is protective On the same hand now children are often so protected from the realities of life (and as the generation prior) that maybe these issues are not addressed as thought inappropriate. Back in the old days when these kind of things kept quiet, way before we knew what sex was my mother warned me, as her mother her, as her mother warned her, and my brother too. What I'm am trying to say is despite the realities that surround us there a few generations that have not been exposed to reality, but lots of fantasy. Look at the college kids that have never shopped in a grocery store or made their own bed. This mother may not be a college graduate, but just as naive. It is not necessary to be so judgemental of her. Young adults (and also older) make tragic mis calls of trust and mistakes all the time, even with a good GPA. It is not a scenario I could see myself in, but I live in a glass house.

I dated my now husband for nearly 6 months before my daughter even met him, and it was more than a year before there were any "stay-overs". Mothers have an absolute duty to protect their children and make safe decisions about whom they are exposed to. Two weeks? Any opportunity to be left alone with a strange man? Horribly unfortunate parenting decision. Dating can wait.

Quite blaming the mother. These creeps are clever and highly manipulative. The REAL PROBLEM is a criminal justice system that would allow this MONSTER to have ANY BAIL at all. $100,000 is a joke! Shame on the judge who issued bail for this guy.

They say that child molesters look for woman that have kids..I read that somewhere after my step dad offended. Not all men are like that.

I am really glad that the scumbag told on himself. It is horrible that he touched this little girl and harmed her and sad that the mother didn't filter the people who were around her children better. It is a hard and sad mistake to learn from but once she did find out something happened she did the right thing. I hope that she learns and becomes outrageously protective of her kids after this. I'm glad that our city has excellent resources to help victims of sexual assault because this little girl is going to need immediate help that will hopefully prevent her from suffering long term effects from what happened.

323249 - I totally agree. People can judge the mother all they want - but now that he's in custody AND given his background and the fact that he confessed - 100,000 bail?? Really? We're failing our children! There are a lot of things about this story that make me sick - but that tops the list!

To start things off the mother of the child is a very unfit parent, also a drug addict covering up her a** for something she's guilty of, possibly a drug deal gone wrong. Thats not Jesse Paul Martin, he wouldn't hurt a child; evidence will prove his innocence.
