Excellent point. How was the pass during the Gaviota construction? I didn't seem to hear of an increase in problems up there. Funny, since it took weeks for people to get used to the SB Mission off ramp being closed with pileups on the 101 at Carrillo.

@808, the average trucker does not want to take 154. Period. The only ones who do are the stupid ones or the ones who have never been through this area and have a GPS that isn't set to "truck routing".

Someone should tell the Walmart truck I was stuck behind last Friday that he doesn't want to use 154. Seemed like he was pretty happy on it and didn't mind keeping a bunch of cars stacked up behind him. Can someone tell me why this is a 4 month project that will close the 101 down to 1 lane in both directions? I will never vote for any money for Caltrans if this is how they are going to spend it. Throw some resources at this project and get it DONE!
