He was a transient who was struck by a vehicle on Hollister. Alcohol was not a factor for the driver. That's all the info I gleaned from Google. It's just more newsworthy to "say struck by a vehicle and succumbed to injuries" than "tragic accident." He was hospitalized at Cottage before he died.Per Noozhawk sources.

That word "transient" sits badly with me. Pablo was a carpenter who worked every day, he had a home, unconventional though it was, still he had a place to lay his head every night. He was a regular at Java Station. He was a sweet, nice guy who had no animosity toward anyone.
