Ray Kieding was the first to purchase a Sea Shell kit in order to build the boats for his sons, Richard and Robert. That salt water start has benefited Santa Barbara with a plethora of top quality sailors. The younger son, Bob, provides us interesting sea lore information every Wednesday in his SBNP, "SCUTTLEBUT" articles.
