KEYT posted on Facebook that the shuttle would fly over Vandenberg around 10:30am tomorrow.

Does anyone know how we can check to see if it will be flying over SB and at what time.

The news (KPFK) is that they have cut hundreds of mature street trees and will cut many more, so the wingspan can clear as they move it. Where is this? In old, established and poor neighborhoods. Here in SB and especially in 'cito, they would remove the wings to truck the shuttle. The fancy tiles no longer matter as it will never fly again. Fake 'em with plaster in the museum.

They are planting twice as many trees as they remove and of a more appropriate variety. It is unfortunate for current residents of Inglewood and neighboring burroughs but it is free to the cities and will be worth it in the long run.

I hope to be able to see the flight between Vandenburg and LA. Anyone with a guesstimate as to when and where to look as it passes by us?

The trees they took out were Ficus, planted a long time back before anyone realized how invasive the roots were. They are planting twice as many replacements with less destructive consequences for sidewalks, etc.

Will be be able to see it on www.flightradar24.com? Not sure what the ID would be.

We got off track here into the trees. Does anyone know a station or website that will track Endeavor, and any time delays, between San Francisco and Los Angeles area, and possibly show if Endeavor will follow the coast, meaning we possibly could see it around 10:30 to 11:30?

Endeavor's plane just flew over, low, huge, two escort jets -- Endeavor gleaming on top, silver in the sun. The space program. So many decades of hopes and dreams.
