She's probably an inexperienced drunk driver. If you drink and drive frequently, you learn what works and doesn't work for you. Two glasses of red wine that early in the day is too much -- better to pace yourself with light beer in the morning hours, and then switch to the stronger stuff once you've eaten something and you're completely awake.
