Oh dear, this is why I haven't seen Val at Los Banos lately... I'm so very sad such a great human has left us. His smile and positive attitude will be missed my so many...RIP Val.

My favorite sailing instructor...mainly because in Val's presence you could do no wrong. What a gorgeous soul! There was always something very comforting about this man. Sad to hear this news.

I worked with Val for many years at the Post Office and we ALL loved him. I would often see him jogging around the harbor and City College. He was always so nice to me, asking about my daughter, Dolli all the time. He was quite fond of her. He will be missed. I will bring to the service, a couple Postal Group pictures that I had taken back between 1979-1981.

I left Los Banos with a heavy heart after hearing of Val's passing. I hadn't seen him in awhile, but the last time I did was not that long ago and he had a smile and a big hello for me. He used to give my dogs cookies every time he saw them waiting for me by the pool as I would swim. Such a kind and gentle soul. He will surely be missed.
