OP here, Can anyone recommend a shoe tying service? I'm completely incapable of tying them myself.

This is the least of Santa Barbara's problems. Honestly, who cares? Use Google to find out who to call and then do it. Posting here shouldn't even be an option. The website says there is a park host on duty. Park Host On Duty Phone (805) 698-7064 Evenings & weekends Maybe they live in an RV too?

Interesting thread. I have met Mr Pini and found him affable. I was/am a "creative" and have lived in SB since the early 80's and the only way to do it was rent cool spaces with "charm" :) I have also since bought and rent out places of my own and know full well both sides of this issue. Most renters could not afford it if we landlords had to do annual inspections, remodels and updates...then you'd all be complaining about "why does a 1BR go for $3k/mth in this town!" I can hear it already. On the other hand, landlords do have a responsibility to maintain a safe and clean property for their tenants and those of us who treat it as a business do just that. But the second I start to lose money on a property, I ask myself why am I doing this anymore? To the "creative" who was bemoaning Santa Barbara's "Golden Age"....you don't know what you are talking about and you are a wanker. :) (go watch "Midnight in Paris" sometime for a clue).... just make it work for yourself and your family so that you can do what you were born to do. Previous gens had it just as bad, and if I recollect, far worse. ;)
