A travel trailer and flatbed truck sustained major damage in a fire on S. Kellogg Ave in Goleta early Sunday morning.

At 4:28 a.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to 879 S. Kellogg Ave on the property of National Auto Body and Paint for a reported fire. Upon arrival, they found a 5th wheel travel trailer fully involved in flames that had spread to a flatbed truck. The truck was fully loaded with belongings and material, although it’s unsure what type of material, said Captain Dave Zaniboni.

Both vehicles sustained major damage and all the material on the truck was destroyed.

One employee of National Auto Body and Paint was on scene and attempted to extinguish the fire prior to the fire department’s arrival. The employee sustained a minor burn to the hand and was treated on scene.

There was no damage to any surrounding structures and no other injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
