Body Found on Cabrillo Blvd

Santa Barbara Police are investigating the body of a believed homeless man that was found on Cabrillo Blvd. Wednesday.

The man was discovered around 2:30 p.m. near the 800 block of E. Cabrillo Blvd. 

Police do not believe there was foul play involved, however, the investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of death. 

The decedent’s identity has not yet been made public pending next of kin notification. 

This is a developing story.

  1. TRANSPARENT – what action do you propose? They can’t hold people for mental illness related things (naked w/ machete) for too long. We can’t fill up the jails with drug users, especially for weed. Maybe just have cops permanently stationed at these parks? It’s not a problem unique to SB. ALL cities have parks like this and the locals know to avoid them or be on alert.
