April 21, 2004 - Ed’s New Office

A bunch of contestants correctly identified the location of the red building in yesterday’s contest … and this is a very good thing! You see not only does it mean that edhat subscribers are smarter than the average bear, it also means that many people already know where the new edhat office is.

That’s right, the dedicated staff of edhat.com got tired of dissecting muffins on the kitchen counter, storing water bottles in the bathroom, and writing our articles on the dining room table. This work-at-home bit is all fine and dandy for some, but office life, that is where it is at – small talk around the water cooler, beers after work, long coffee breaks, football pools, workstations filled with toys and other personal items, softball teams, and old tattered comic strips posted on the bathroom door. Bring it on!

Our new office is located on De La Vina Street – next to the beautiful new Braille Institute building and two doors up from the Daily Grind, home of the biggest muffins in town. We are also across the street from Taffy’s Pizza, Ted’s (no relation to Ed) Used Books, Sunny’s Cleaner’s ($2.00 to clean a men’s shirt), and Derf’s. We are also a scones throw from Cajun Kitchen, McConnell’s, and the A1 Laundro Mutt. It is a good place to be!

Stop by and say ‘Hi’ if you are in the area. But, don’t park in front of the office on a Thursday; it’s a $35 ticket … we got one last week.

Mlsbud was chosen as the winner in our random drawing. Mlsbud wins 4 tickets to the Santa Barbara Fair & Expo which starts tonight and runs through Sunday.
